yay to chictopia

i love chictopia.
i get inspired from all the people there all the time and browse through it on a daily basis.
lately i was selected as one of their style icons so that was a huge suprise and i am very excited for that.

if some of you don't know with chictopia you get these things called chic points when people comment your photos, you comment others, you get a fan and so on and once you get 2,000 you can redeem some fabulous prizes if your lucky to snatch them up before someone else.

and today finally i have scored myself this Calvin Klein sequined tunic and i am oh so excited to get this in the mail.

it is meant to fit loose and has an open back.

i am in a hurry to get ready for the beach but i shall be back later tonight with some more posts.

love the boots. and i needed to start wearing jeans again, i have completely forgot about how great a pair of skinny jeans look with just a basic tee. i just need the weather to cool down.

heat wave

i wish that i was wearing something like this today.
but that is impossible for me right now as Adelaide is having a heatwave this week.
it has been 41c degrees and over !
i can't even go to the beach in this heat as i would probably faint.

1. buying stacks of new magazines and flipping through them while sipping on tea or a latte.

2. spending the whole day at the beach tanning with my girlfriends then spending the night in the city walking around with a cup of coffee and chatting.

3. hand written letters from loved ones are always so special, so much better than any text message or email.

4. finding new insipration everyday from different sources.

5. music - songs with powerful lyrics that i can really connect with.

6. taking photographs with all my friends pretty much everywhere we go. i have dozens .

i just watched this movie and i have to say i really enjoyed it.
it was really inspiring.
i loved the music, the settings and the cast is perfect.
penelope cruz is such a beauty, as is the lovely scarlet johanson.

my shopping trip last night was pretty short. I didn't really look at many stores i basically just bought a whole bunch of beauty and hair products plus some food and then went home.
i did go into one vintage store but is was just shocking at how crap everything in there was.

next sunday though i am hoping to go to the markets and stay there the whole day until i come out with a some treasure!

BLEUBIRD VINTAGE

I just came across this today and i am already way in love with pretty much everything they have to offer.

i'm really lusting after the leather jacket it is gorgeous. also i'm loving this girls hairstyle quite alot!

tomorrow is my city shopping night which i am always looking forward to and this time i will be making a few stops at the vintage shops down there (not that there is many). I haven't been vintage, thrift shopping in a while so i am going to have a look tomorrow if there is anything fabulous lying around.

today i decided to wear the bodysuit with the denim shorts and just a black blouse over it.
in the photos you can't really see the detail of the lace at all and i am sorry for that but this is probably the best i can do for now with my camera, i'm sure there's diff settings i can put the camera to make the photos turn out alot clearer but i have no clue what to change it to.

anyhoo let me know what you think and if you know any ways to make photos turn out better.

i was at the beach today enjoying the sunshine and reading magazines.
finally the weather is being perfect.

i still haven't taken any proper outfit shots with the lace bodysuit, i did try but they all turned out kind of crappy so i will do that soon, i'm trying to find new spots where i can take the photos.

since the weather here is being really strange and not summery at all i think summer should go away now and colder days should come so i can go out and buy boots!!!
