thrifting.

hello lovlies,

today i did a little thrift shopping, i was on the lookout for some high waisted levi's so i can cut them up and bleach them or studd, anything really.

i didn't find any levi's my size (tear) but i did find some guess jeans that fit me perfectly and have a high waist so i got them and i have already cut them, now i will try bleaching them and then i will post some photos of that later on, possibly tomorrow.

i also found a black zip skirt (pictured below) that i can also try doing something with and this adorable bag at the last minute.

i actually saw a vintage bag like this one on ebay last night and i was "watching it" and deciding if i should bid or not and then i found the exact same one today in the store! hooray.









i will do a post on the outfit tomorrow, today i was just in my max&co jeans and a tee so nothing intresting to show.

finally.

i have finally found some studs that i have been looking for - on ebay! yay to ebay, i was going to get them from the studsandspikes website but i wasn't too sure about it really and i couldn't be bothered with the whole converting it all to AUS dollars so luckily i found some on ebay from Australia. I can't wait for them to arrive, i found an old pair of shoes that i'm thinking of studding and anything else i get my hands on.

todays outfit consists of a black vintage shirt i got a month or so ago but never worn it until now, vintage bag which i adore and my muui skirt that i wore with the knee high socks in my post a month ago but i have now added gold buttons on it to make it more intresting.

hello guys ,

i just have a quick question - to see if any of you can help out.

so we all know about the bloglovin' website, now i want to claim my blog but everytime they give me the code to insert into a new blog post and i try to do this i get an error after pressing PUBLISH that says something like you can't do this HTML bla bla... no idea.. so i can't claim my blog now since it won't let me publish it on the website.

does anyone know what to do? or if this is happened to them at all??

i just discovered the fabulous polyvore website. i do not know how i didn't know about this until now.. but now i do and i am addicted.

i have been seeing these outfit sets on alot of peoples blogs but just always thought they made them on photoshop which is normaly what i do but now that i have dicovered this i get it all now.

and it is so much fun!

it is 1.30AM and i can not get to sleep as per usual, so i am making outfit sets.
i adore everything in the set below especially the shoes and the skirt which i would love to have a go at making myself. the t-shirt is alexander wang but i just added the eiffel tower picture on to it which i got the inspiration from the very talented Andy from stylescrapbook.com.

bonjour!

i have been feeling so very creative and inspired for the last week or so and i am dying to get started on some projects such as tee making - distressing, adding on things such as buttons, logos.. all that, skirt making and so much more. I have drawn up so many ideas i just need to get to the craft store and purchase some fabric as well as buttons, zips and everything else i find.

I love love going to Spotlight - Lincraft, there is just so many bits and pieces to pick from and so many ideas that run through my head once i see them all, but i won't have the chance to go until possibly this weekend so it is driving me crazy because i just want to start!!

Also i just found this small sewing machine that my mum purchased ages ago and never used so i am trying to teach my self to sew, i have never done it before but how hard can it be? So i'm thinking of buying some sewing books on the way as well.

If any of you lovely people have any tips for first time sewing machine users do let me know !

hey guys,

sorry for the lack of posts.. i have been extra slack these last few days. i think it must be the heat.
i finally went to the beach today but of course lucky for me the sun decided to go hide behind the clouds and the wind wanted to come out and play so even though it was extremely hot the beach outing was sort of ruined.. no tanning opportunity at all.

i went shopping with mum on friday night as per usual and purchased a few things, one being my new black gladiator sandals .. these are a good pair not the crappy pair i was talking about.

loving them.. i will be wearing them with EVERYTHING this summer.

also got a few things from bardot .. but no photos to show but i have to say i'm loving this bardot poster i got from the store.

it's past midnight over here so i am off to have a shot at sleeping in this heat, but i promise to do another post in the morning.

i found a really cheap pair of gladiator type shoes and i want to DIY them with some studs to make them more intresting so i have been searching the net for where i can purchase studs.. so far no luck.. if anyone knows where to get them from pleaseeeeeeee let me know.

so anyway as i was searching i came across the forum on the australian vogue website and i read that AMERICAN APPAREL is opening in ADELAIDEEE on Rundel St, and like in a few weeks or soo. AHHH! Soo excited for this. Adelaide is always the last to get anything good so this is awesome. I was going to purchase a few things on their website but now i think i will wait so i can try it on ! Hoorayyyy.

not so exciting.

flea market update..

1. i was in there for a total of 10 mins.
2. it was boiling hot.
3. it was extremely squished & packed. like you couldn't move at all .
4. it was at the worst location EVER. like a primary school the size of my bedroom. and my room is a box so like what the?
5. there was a huge amount of junk there, (people trying to sell their own old crap that belongs in the bin i say)

buttttt... there was some really intresting stuff there too, i have to admit i saw a few cute dresses and really adorable vintage necklaces buttttt i wasn't in the mood to look at anything after a minute or so of being pushed around and waiting ten minutes in line just to get to the next stall. crazy i tell you.. soo i left and went out to lunch with my parents and bought myself the breakfast at tiffanys book that i have been dying to read.. as the movie is my fave movie in the whole world.

anyway's i will probably be making my way over to the market again in two weeks time when its on again or around there with a little more patience hopefully.

also i booked my 6 day holiday to Queensland/Gold Coast today, i am going on November 29th. I have never been before so this is extra exciting stuff for me.

Beaches, pool, lovely spacious apartment, shopping, clubbing, tanning, lazing around... plus one of my really close girlfriends. doesn't get better than that.





ps. those shorts were once jeans but i cut them into shorts then after i took this photo i actually ended up cutting them up even more and making them more shorter.

too hot for tea.

perfect beach weather today. i wish i went. but i didn't.
instead i chilled in my backyard with a glass of coke, my inspiration book, jane austen and my tanning lotion.

it was perfect. then it got a little too hot. so i went back inside and watched sex & the city season 6.

real quick

i have been slaving away with my assessment the whole day today - yet again! but this time i managed to get somewhere thank god, i already feel a little lighter even though i have quite a bit more to go. (tear)

i have't done any outfit shots for chictopia in two days which is annoying me but i have zero time for fun with all this studying in my way. can't wait to finish it all once and for all.

one thing i'm totally excited about is this sunday because finally finally finally adelaide is having a flea market thing on and i am going to go raid the whole place for anything and everything. hoping to come across some pretty little things - cheap pretty little things would be really good.


i went to the mall before just for a bit to get a new scrap/art book for my cut out inspiration bits to go in so i am off to get creative with that and drink some peach green tea.

hello darlings,

today i have been stressing out the whole day as i finally decided to get some work done on my assessments. i got up extra early to get a start on it and have been slaving away most of the day but i didn't get very far at all. i just didn't understand anything i was supposed to be doing. it was all numbers and taxes which i'm terrible with. ( btw i study international travel sales - tourism )
soo i sort of gave up and gave in to better things in life such as fashion blogs.

i have no outfit post today sadly as i didn't go anywhere or wear anything remotely interesting besides a t-shirt and trackies (sweatpants).

i am hoping to be finished with my current studying by the end of this lovely year and then i am going to try my best to get into this fashion academy to do a dipolma in LA MODA (that is what it is called ) which is all about fashion styling, magazine editting and all sorts of really intresting things that i actually would adore to be doing!

my latest addiction.



i think i need some now as i am feeling crappy.

so we went from total humid hot boiling weather yesterday with no sun to sunny COLD weather today. i will never understand the australian weather changes. moving on though i was supposed to be working on my assignments and doing some studying today but i just can't seem to get myself motivated to do so.

so instead of doing what i should be doing and really NEED to be doing i was lazying around drinking tea, washing my hair, looking through fashion blogs, reading nylon magazine, eating, sitting around in the sunshine and pretty much everything else to waste time and not do work.
bad bad bad, but i promise i will start on some hardcore studying later on.. tomorrow .. maybe.

this outfit is just a zip up dress from bardot that i got for $30 only because it was in the sale pile and i have been wearing it all the time with these wet look black tights. also i just have to say that these tights are soooooo much better than the usual cotton ones. they always fit so perfectly well and never stretch where the cotton ones usually tend to stretch once you wear them for a bit. plus these just feel and looks alot better.

the boots are really ancient but i thought it went okay with the look and they are really comfortable to wear. bag is ofcourse vintage, i have been getting alot of vintage bags lately, i'm in love with them all, and the jacket is something i have only worn like once and then decided that i hate it but i pulled it out today and decided i like it again.

the hair is looking extra messy today but i like the messy wavy look .

i crave so bad.

my god if these YSL trib two platform boots aren't pure perfection i don't know what is. i would kill for a pair of these. so lovely. the colour. the style. thee everything! i need like NOW!

i really really hate humid weather. It is like sooo freaking hot but the sun just isn't there and you can't go to the beach at all, it is just pointless just like today has been. So anyway, i went out last night with the girls to vodka bar and we were actually totally bored and ended up getting out of there after like an hour or so to go get food. Typical. I do have some photos from last night but i won't be uploading those on here.

Today i was at home all day avoiding the yuk weather and the heat. I found my little cooper st dress tucked away and decided to wear it today but i belted it with my fav vintage belt to make it look shorter because it is actually over the knee length and shorter just look so much better. So here is the result!

summer is arriving!

today was extremely hot even though spring just started but it is deff feeling like a hot summer day. i went out with the bf for a little bit and the only thing i could think about putting on was shorts and a singlet as boring as that sounds but it was way to hot for anything else.

tonight i will be going out with the ladies to my fav club - vodka bar. so might possibly have some outfit shots of that later on.

Smoking Fascination

I have pretty much always loved all those images of supermodels smoking. Why? i have no idea but i used to search for them on google and save them all on my computer and sometimes even use them as my myspace backgrounds ( i dont use myspace anymore ) They just seemed so appealing to me. So when i came across this blog lesmoking.blogspot.com i was totally excited. The whole thing is full of smoking images. AH!

ps. i just thought i would add that i actually don't smoke or like it, the smell and all it's kind of gross but the photos are cool .

friday.

Friday afternoons are usually spent with mum in the city shopping around and drinking coffee and today was no different. The weather was really warm almost toooo hot for me to wear my white blazer but i just had to wear it, it is my fav thing at the moment. When i first bought it i sort of just chucked in away in my wardrobe and forgot about it but lately i have been wearing it all the time.
